What is 5-HTP and L-Theanine and what do they do?
Many diets fail when people do not have the discipline to stick to a specific plan because they have specific food cravings. This may be because serum tryptophan levels and CNS serotonin levels drop significantly while dieting. Food cravings have been associated with anxiety and are more pronounced late in the evening. Dexatrim Max Evening Control contains 50 mg of 5-Hydroxytryptophan, 5-HTP, which is an intermediate between tryptophan and seratonin. In theory, supplementing 5-HTP may prevent a decline in serotonin levels and decrease calorie intake and anxiety. Dexatrim Evening Control formula also contains L-theanine, which may also aid in controlling stress and appetite.
